Original Consensus Plan (OCP)
aka Plan B
Some of you may have heard some misinformation spread that selling the entire church property is the only way to save Grace Baptist Church financially from total destruction.
This is not true.

The proponents of demolition (let's call them Pro-Demolition Guys, PDG) like to call their plan as "Plan A" so that any alternative is called "Plan B".

There has actually long been a plan that would save the Church financially without destroying the Sanctuary, as the church has other assets, including 2 apartment buildings adjoining the church Sanctuary property. This "Plan B" is preferably named "Original Consensus Plan", (OCP for short). This was previous passed by unanimous consensus of the church membership, but has been ignored by new church leadership in favor of the newer "Plan A" which provides much more money but requires demolition of the Sanctuary. This OCP was not allowed to be presented as an alternative to the new Plan A by the PDG.

If the Sanctuary is designated as an Historic Landmark as we hope, OCP still exists, and can be implemented if it would be allowed by PDG to be presented as an alternative.
